Police Impounds

In almost every county there are tow companies and impound lots contracted with the local police. Impounded vehicles, if unclaimed by their legal owners, are sold to the highest bidder from $1.00+ to cover liens in accordance to California Civil Codes 3071 and 3072.

Bank Repossessions

Lenders and financial institutions contract with auctioneers to liquidate legally repossessed vehicles to cover loan defaults. This is where many car dealers purchase vehicles below wholesale. These vehicles are generally in good condition, and just 1-5 years old.

Government Surplus

These are generally well-maintained vehicles being retired and auctioned off by state and local municipalities. You can also find all kinds of retired assets such as computers, power tools, office furniture, electronics, heavy machinery, land, real estate and more.

Unclaimed Property

Police auctions include the sale of unclaimed personal property that has been recovered by law enforcement. After attempting to return the property to its rightful owner, if the property is unclaimed, it must be sold to the public at auction. Items often include jewelry, clothing, bikes, sporting goods, computers, smartphones, artwork, consumer electronics and more.
